about

"Wilderness Time" marks a turning point for In The Branches. Most of the guitar parts were recorded in a variety of locations across the western United States (between shows and photography adventures), and then each song was layered with additional improvisations and finalized in an isolated location in Montana.

Songs range from gentle bliss to brooding, but always with a wide sense of space. Each track, as always, is based around the live improvisation and looping with a single guitar. For "Wilderness Time", additional layers were added to the guitar loops, creating a diverse collection of contrasting atmospheres and moods. Perhaps the most diversity in an I.T.B. album since "Vivid Memories".

A high-resolution digital booklet has been added to this album, for anyone who purchases or has purchased the album on Bandcamp.
